THE DUBLIN DOG HUB
A warm welcome to the Dublin Dog Hub. We provide dog shelter services for Dublin and the surrounding areas.
The shelter was founded by Linda Martin in February 2024 and we split our services between two focus areas. We are currently under contract to Dublin City Council's Animal Welfare Unit to provide safe, secure and comfortable accommodation to stray, seized or unwanted dogs.
We strive to reunite lost dogs with their owners and to find new homes for dogs who need them.
In conjunction with our work with Dublin City Council Linda also runs a private rescue and re-homing service where dogs get the same care and attention and we work hard to rehabilitate where needed and get these dogs their forever home.

DCC DOGS FOR REHOMING
Freddie
We'd love you to meet Freddie. Freddie was found straying and we think he's 5+ but are not fully sure of age. Freddie is a bull breed and his just the most gentle fellow.
When he came into us he was suffering badly with seizures but now we have him on the right meds he's been really good since. But its a reality any new owner needs to face that he would need to remain on meds to control the seizures.
He may be best as an only dog home and he won't ask you for a lot. Just a warm bed and some company and he will be such a loyal boy to anyone who can take him into their heart.
Poppy ** BOOKED **
This little cutie is Poppy. She's a 2 yr old JRT/Spaniel x and she's just a little beauty. Super affectionate and playful and loves loves loves to go for a walk where she is a dream on the lead.
She was found as a stray and brought into our care and she's been a model citizen. Her bum never stops wiggling when she see's the volunteers coming with a lead in hand and she's really great fun once you get her out.
Our only warning is she can jump so we will need a secure garden for this little lady to ensure she doesn't do her escape artist tricks on her new adopter.
Foxy ** ADOPTED **
This absolute little stunner is Foxy. Just look at that smile. She is approximately 5 years old and is a JRT x.
Foxy was found straying and brought into us in the Hub. Initially she is a little timid and quiet with all the hustle and bustle of the shelter and nervous of the volunteers, but once you get her out and spend a little time she really quickly warms up and then just wants to be your shadow.
She will make someone a really loyal little cuddle bug.
George
George is a 3 yr old Bully X. He was found as a stray and had a few medical issues to resolve like a broken toe on one paw and a few other bits but we've had the vet sort him out and now he's ready to wow someone to get himself a new home.
George doesn't seem to have had a lot of training and will definitely need work. We would recommend someone with experience and time to get this guy into shape - whoever does this will get a very loyal and friendly pal who loves to run.
Archie
Do you want to get yourself a new training partner. Look no further than Archie. He's an 18mth old Belgian Malnois and is an absolute stunner.
Like all his breed he is really active and will need someone with breed experience to take him under their wing.
He will be brilliant in an environment where he is challenged and has always got something to do. He will then repay you as such a loyal/clever and affectionate dog.
Duke
Just like his pal Archie this is Duke and we could really say exactly the same thing about him. Duke is a 2 yr old male Belgian Malinois.
Like all his breed he is really active and will need someone with breed experience to take him under their wing.
He will be brilliant in an environment where he is challenged and has always got something to do. He will then repay you as such a loyal/clever and affectionate dog.
Buster and Bruno ** ADOPTED **
Double Trouble. This 10 year old pair are best pals and will need to be rehomed together. They have lived in the same home since they were pups and were surrendered due to the their owner passing on.
Buster the JRT and Bruno the Staffy are a fabulous pair. Full of live and energy but really just happy in each others company. We really need to rehome them together. We think Bruno would just not survive without his buddy who he follows everywhere.
Can you give them their second chance?
Troy ** BOOKED **
This magnificent fellow is Troy. He is a cross breed who is approximately 4 years old. Troy is a big dog, over 50kg. He was found straying so we don't have his background and therefore is cross is unknown to us but we suspect GSD crossed with a Mastiff. You can decide yourself when you meet him. What we do know is he is really friendly and will be a lovely dog for someone familiar with bigger breeds. Come and meet him for yourself.

Gloria
Meet our lovely pocket bully Gloria. Gloria is about 3 years old and was brought to the shelter as a stray. The poor girl was in fact found tied to a pole near Northside! Gloria loves going for her walks and is good on the lead and loves interactions with humans in the shelter. She does not, however, have time for other dogs so definitely needs to be the only dog in the house. She wants the belly rubs and bum scratches all for herself.
Todd
Would you look at the face on this beauty. This is Todd. He's an approximately 3 year old Lurcher and was found straying. He was in some discomfort with very irritated skin around his hind quarters and was quite shut down at the start. But once he realised he was surrounded by good food, a warm bed and lots of love, he has quickly warmed up. He is very friendly. Seems really interested in everything around him. Seems interested in other dogs so might rehome with another large sensible dog. We don't know about cats.
Please come and meet him for yourselves. He's a gem.
Pongo
Meet the gorgeous Mr Pongo. He's approx 1.5 year old staffie X who came into our care as a stray.
He is a really happy go luck boy and loves to meet people and gives you the biggest grin and tail wag as he does.
He has a goofy, clumsy nature and wants to always be under your feet getting belly rubs.
We think he would be best suited as the only dog in the home as he seems never to have been socialised with other dogs, but with patience this could be improved.
What is a guarantee is that he will love his peeps with every bone in his body. Come and meet him for yourself.
PRIVATE REHOMINGS
Kevin ** ADOPTED **
Kevin is a fabulous 1 year old Wheaten Terrier who came into our care through no fault of his own. He's a super sociable and bouncy fellow who loves playing and loves being with his peeps.
He wants to play all the time and at the age he's at he is a ball of energy and he needs a home that will give him plenty of activity and plenty of love.
He has been good with some dogs but not with others and specifically not with smaller dogs so either as an only dog or with another dog of similar size.
He will make you a great pal if you give him a chance.
Nibbler
Would you look at this magnificent fellow. This is Nibbler. Nibbler is a neutered 3 year old Mastiff/Rottweiler cross.
He was surrendered through no fault of his own and was a much loved pet.
He has lived with other dogs and in fact seems to have a reputation of being afraid of the smaller ones if you can believe it from such a big fellow.
But he's really just a big softie. Wants all the cuddles and bum scratches. He's gentle and has great manners but is very strong on the lead so will need someone with big breed experience to help him manage this.
Could you be the person fo rNibbler?
Mary ** ADOPTED **
This beautiful Belgian Malinois is Mary. Mary came into us as a stray having recently enough had pups and at the start she was very locked down and scared. She is only a young dog herself, maybe only a year and a half and seems to be unsure of the world. However with lots of TLC and patience she is starting to come out of her shell and she is a very sweet dog once she gets to trust you. We hope that someone sees this and falls head over heels for her. She will make the right owner very happy indeed.
