THE DUBLIN DOG HUB
A warm welcome to the Dublin Dog Hub. We provide dog shelter services for Dublin and the surrounding areas.
The shelter was founded by Linda Martin in February 2024 and we split our services between two focus areas. We are currently under contract to Dublin City Council's Animal Welfare Unit to provide safe, secure and comfortable accommodation to stray, seized or unwanted dogs.
We strive to reunite lost dogs with their owners and to find new homes for dogs who need them.
In conjunction with our work with Dublin City Council Linda also runs a private rescue and re-homing service where dogs get the same care and attention and we work hard to rehabilitate where needed and get these dogs their forever home.

OUR DOGS FOR REHOMING
Lassie
This is our 3yr old female GSD Lassie. You could not ask to meet a more gentle lady. She is sweet and easy to harness and walk. Seems to pay no attention to other dogs really on walks so we think should could easily like with our without a companion. She's a quiet girl though so another quiet dog we think would be for the best. Like so many of our dogs, Lassie was found straying and never reclaimed so we hope that someone sees her and falls in love.
BlackJack
BlackJack
is the new kid in the Hub, Hes between 1 and 2 and is a lab/rottie x.
We think he might be best suited as the only dog in the house but he's just lovely with his humans, loves his treats and will be easy to train. He already has good basics, just needs the right human to help him polish them.
We think he's a very handsome boy and hope he finds his perfect match very soon.
Pongo
Meet the gorgeous Mr Pongo. He's approx 1.5 year old staffie X who came into our care as a stray.
He is a really happy go luck boy and loves to meet people and gives you the biggest grin and tail wag as he does.
He has a goofy, clumsy nature and wants to always be under your feet getting belly rubs.
We think he would be best suited as the only dog in the home as he seems never to have been socialised with other dogs, but with patience this could be improved.
What is a guarantee is that he will love his peeps with every bone in his body. Come and meet him for yourself.
Nikki ** ADOPTED **
Meet the magic Nikki. She came into us as a stray and never reclaimed. Nikki is a 2 year old bully x and is the sweetest girl with a huge heart. She loves to meet everyone and is a big cuddle monster.
She can be strong on the lead but with a little work she settles and this will improve with patience. She is a social creature and would re-home with other dogs pending a meeting and greet.
She is very treat driven which will make further training easy and she will really make a brilliant dog for the right family.
Baby
The beautiful Baby is a 3 year old girl who came into are care as a surrender trough no fault of her own. She's an absolutely fabulous dog who loves to be around people and just wants to give everyone a big kiss.
Great with other dogs too and while she is strong on the lead this will improve with patience and time.
She grew up around children and would make a wonderful addition to a family looking for a new love bug to join their clan.
Lucy
Meet the lovely Lucy. She was found as a stray and never reclaimed. Lucy is 3 or 4 years old and is quite a bit girl, but she is lovely to handle and very friendly to all the crew up in the hub. She can be a little strong out on the lead due to her size but she is quite manageable and responsive to commands. So far has shown herself to be a little reactive to other dogs out on walks, but this is likely stress and can be managed with time and care. Could you give her that time?
Puddin
This magnificent American Bulldog x is Puddin. She is just a stunning looking dog and would really love to find herself a new home.
Puddin will need someone with breed experience. She is extremely strong and can be over exuberant in her play at times. But she is food motivated so does respond well to treats and will learn.
She is strong on the lead and would likely be best as the only dog in the house so she can devote all her attention to you. Such a striking looking dog.
Rocket
Now looks can sometimes be deceiving. I can imagine from the photo you are thinking German Shepherd but little Rocket is just that. Little. His a mid sized dog at most and we are really not sure of his breed mix. He is a nervous boy in the kennels, but once you get him out and on the lead he's a lovely fellow. Walks brilliantly on the lead, no pulling, is not dog reactive. He's only a young dog, maybe 2 or 3, and needs a loving family were he will get lots of play and exercise. We don't know his background so if there are kids we would need a good meet and greet just so he can get to know you.
Suge
Meet Suge. Hes an approx 5 yr old American Bulldog. And he's just the best fellow. Like so many, Suge was found as a stray and never reclaimed. He's been with us at the shelter now and is firmly ready for a new home. He is a very friendly and personable dog and we think he would get on well in a home with or without kids and would be good with another dog pending a meet and greet. Please help us get him a rehome. He doesn't deserve to be in a shelter.
Clara ** ADOPTED **
Meet Clara. She's a 1 year old bulldog who came in as a stray and was never reclaimed. She is a sweetheart to all the people up in the Hub and super calm and clean in her kennel. We do think she will be best as an only dog though. She seems reactive when out on walks and we think she just wants her people to herself so she can get all the love.
Chance ** ADOPTED **
Would you look at this fella. This gorgeous boy is Chance. Chance came in as a stray and wasn't reclaimed. He's only about 1 year old and is still just a puppy and no puppy should be stuck in a shelter.
He's just a typical Lab - full of energy and mischief. He is super friendly with all the staff but definitely could benefit from some training - looks like no one bothered in the past. But he's a very treat driven boy - surprise surprise and quick on the uptake. Will someone take a chance on him?
PRIVATE REHOMINGS
Spring
Introducing Miss Spring. She is approx 3 years old, staffie cross. She came into our care as a stray & has sadly not been re-claimed.
Spring has been the most gorgeous girl to have in our care … when she first came she was so scared & nervous, with a lovely big abscess on her head, which we swiftly treated Since then she has come on leaps & bounds … becoming more confident in herself & the most loving girl.
She walks beautifully on the lead and loves all human interaction. We think she could live with other dog pending a meet and greet and we'd love her to meet you.
Puma
Puma is a 4.5 year old Pocket Bully. Due to a change in circumstance her family felt she needed a better life so surrendered her.
While she can be a little nervous of new people she quickly settles and will love you for a bum scratch.
Great on the lead and while a little shy with dogs she quickly settles.
Great with kids and an all round great dog for the right family to scoop up.
Come say hi.
Sasha ** ADOPTED**
The absolutely gorgeous Sasha is approx 18 months old and is an absolute beauty.
We don't think Sasha had a great start in life. She appears never to have been properly socialised and as a result is quite stressed and reactive around other dogs, but with patience and time this is improving.
She is however super gentle and loving with people and will make someone an absolutely wonderful dog. She's quite petite and we are not fully sure of the cross, but judging by those ears there is some bat in there for sure.... We hope someone will see her for the beautiful dog we know she is.
Guinness ** ADOPTED **
This handsome little man is Guinness. He is an approximately 3yr old Pocket Bully who was surrendered through no fault of his own. This little bundle of muscle and love just wants to be a lapdog, though fair warning he's a 20kg lap dog so you will know about it. He just craves human affection and wants nothing more than a garden a couch and a cuddle. Not a high energy dog - suitable to someone who does not want long walks and just wants unconditional love.
